Breguet

The founder of Breguet, A.L. Breguet (1747-1823) was an instrumental figure in fine watch-making with his unique breakthroughs including the Breguet balance spring and the tourbillon patented in 1801. His passion for innovation and the creation of watches extended to design which is still reflected in the exquisite timepieces made by the brand in the present. A.L. Breguet’s important clients included Caroline Murat, Queen of Naples, for whom he fashioned the world’s first wristwatch in 1810. Like the man behind the brand, Breguet continues to combine horological art with new technology, allowing the brand to remain a distinct leader in haute horology.
